Preparation

Please prepare 32 bars (2 mins) of a song from a musical of your choice that showcases your vocal range and a 1-2 minute comedic monologue. If you have an actor resume/head shot, please bring a copy, but this is not a requirement. Reference photos will be taken prior to auditions. Be prepared for cold readings from the script. Proper footwear and clothing for movement is necessary. ​If callbacks are needed, they will be held on

Please note tech week rehearsals and performance dates are mandatory for cast members. Any rehearsal, tech week, or performance conflicts must be disclosed to production staff upon auditioning.

We are seeking actors ages 18+ of all backgrounds and abilities. If cast, actors will be encouraged to collect playbill ads or donate baked goods for the concession stand, though no payment is required or expected to participate in the show.

*Covid 19 information:

Throughout the production, all Covid-19 precautions and developments will be monitored/followed, and we will be in adherence with health and safety guidelines. In the event the production’s timeline is directly affected, we will pivot and plan for future dates. Please note it is advised that all actors be fully Covid19 vaccinated. Please know we are planning for actors to be unmasked for performances, but again, we will follow health guidelines based upon what they may be at that time.

All roles listed available for casting:

Father (Dramatic Tenor) : The patriarch of the group, Father is consistently overcompensating for his intelligence. Father tries to go the extra mile to prove to his family (and himself) that he’s not a total screw-up to the point of mania. This character will appear in skin-tight/skin-colored spandex during the show.

Mother (Soprano) : Mother is the ever suffering wagon matriarch. The pressure of being the most responsible member of the family has made her a bit over-bearing. This character will appear in skin-tight/skin-colored spandex during the show.

Son (Soprano): The plucky youngest family member with a face like apple pie. Son gets easily distracted by most things. This character will appear in skin-tight/skin-colored spandex during the show.

Daughter (Mezzo Soprano): The teenager of the group, Daughter is generally embarrassed by her family. This character will appear in skin-tight/skin-colored spandex during the show.

Grandfather (Baritone/Bass): The eldest of the Wagon. Grandpa is cranky, old and jaded. This character will appear in skin-tight/skin-colored spandex during the show.

Everyone Else/The Bandit King (Tenor): Plays 1/2 of everyone else in the show. Must have a large character range. Parts will be assigned once cast.This character will appear in skin-tight/skin-colored spandex during the show.
