Audition Location
Swamp Meadow Community Theatre is holding auditions for our Fall show Horse Girls!
Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 15th from 10am-12:45pm and Saturday, October 22nd from 10pm-12:45pm at the Greenville Public Library Recital Room (573 Putnam Pike Greenville, RI).
Participants must be 18+ to Audition
Please sign up for your audition time slot below. Participants must be present on time when the audition begins, and are expected to leave after your audition has concluded. Please allow yourself to arrive at least 10 minutes prior in case of any issues or delays.
Preparation
Participants must prepare a one minute monologue in either a comedic or dramatic style. Be prepared to do some cold readings from the script.
If you have an actor’s resume/headshot please bring a copy (letter paper will suffice)
If you are unable to make the auditions, please submit a video audition to malloryliebermann@gmail.com by August 22nd. Including the one minute monologue and any other information you want to share. Please format your email as HORSE GIRLS Audition – your name. Inquiries can be made to the above email for any further questions.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be on Thursdays from 7:00pm – 9:00pm beginning September 4th. Location TBD. All actors will be called to All rehearsals. A clear rehearsal schedule will be provided after casting. Schedule subject to change on a week to week basis.
Tech Week / Performance Dates
Tech week will run from November 16th – 19th. Call time will be 5:30pm. Actors are required to attend ALL Tech week and Performance Dates.
Performance Dates are:
Friday November 20th at 7:00pm
Saturday November 21st at 7:00pm
Sunday November 22nd at 2:00pm
Call times for actors will be 5pm and 12pm on show days.
Actors are required to stay after the last show on Sunday November 22nd to help move out of the theater. Jobs and duties will be provided at a later date.
Tech week and Performances will be held at South Foster Volunteer Fire Company – 7 Mt Hygeia Road Foster RI 02825
Any rehearsals, tech week, or performance conflicts must be disclosed to production staff upon auditioning.

There is no fee to participate in this production. If cast, actors will be encouraged to collect playbill ads or help create or donate props, costumes, sets etc. While this is encouraged and greatly helps the production succeed, it is not required to participate.

Genders and ages pertain to the character listed. CONTENT WARNING: This show contains explicit language, stage kissing, fake blood, body image discussion, and other adult themes. (All cast are subject to using or being touched by fake blood)
- ASHLEIGH WHITFORD – (F/12 yrs old) President of the Lady Jean Ladies. The leader and the most experienced rider in the bunch.
- Note: Part Involves a stage kiss
- TIFFANY GESUVIA – (F/13 yrs old) Vice President of the Lady Jean Ladies. Robin’s older sister. Ashleigh and Tiffany have been best friends since they were born.
- ROBIN GESUVIA – (F/11 yrs old) Secretary of the Lady Jean Ladies. An eager, people pleaser. the youngest in the group. Tiffany’s younger sister.
- MARGARET FLANAGHAN – (F/12 yrs old) Treasurer of the Lady Jean Ladies.. She loves horses and being a part of this club because it makes her feel like less like a freak.
- Note: Part involves a stage kiss
- BRANDI MARSHALL – (F/12 yrs old) Historian of the Lady Jean Ladies. Isn’t particularly amazing at riding horses, but she loves the animals. She loves taking care of them.
- CAMILLE LOWENSTEIN – (F/13 yrs old) Looks like she should be in the popular group.
- TRISH LOWENSTEIN – (F/13 yrs old) Camille’s cousin who is visiting from Manhattan. She is liberal, self-aware, and polite, and was taught to always be a gracious guest.
