ALL AGES of Interesting Talents (and Actors) Wanted!
Swamp Meadow Community Theatre is holding auditions for all fields of talent, performing acts and actors for our upcoming Medieval Winter Solstice Reveal: Get Merry!
Auditions will be held on Friday, October 9th from 7pm-9pm at the Woody Lowden Recreation Center (16 Howard Hill Rd, Foster, RI) and Saturday, October 10th from 1pm-3pm at the Greenville Public Library Recital Room (573 Putnam Pike Greenville, RI).
Auditions for Actors
Please prepare and memorize a one minute comedic monologue. Be prepared for cold readings from the script. Actors may also audition for Talent Acts, just please specify you are auditioning for both at the auditions and prepare for each accordingly. Auditions will be on a first come basis. There is no age requirement.
Auditions for Talent Acts
Please prepare an up to 5-minute presentation of your act. If music is incorporated in your act, you may audition with any song, but we ask that you try to incorporate a 2000s Rock song if possible. Bring us your best Green Day, FallOut Boy, and My Chemical Romance! (Please note : The show will be Family Friendly. Any overtly Mature Themes or Crass language will be edited out for the show)
We encourage all types of talent to audition! (dance, sword fighting, juggling, story telling, instruments, magic… to name a few!)
You also may be asked to read from the script. Chosen acts will be incorporated into the play as “villagers” of a medieval town (butchers, bakers, candlestick makers) and will have lines before performing. Characters will be given once cast, but if you have an idea for your character’s job, please let us know. (Example: Last time we did this show, we had someone play the town butcher who played an axe… or an electric guitar!)
Auditions will be on a first come basis. There is no age requirement.
If you are unable to make both auditions, please contact vigeanttyler94@gmail.com for more information about a virtual audition.
