Swamp Meadow Community Theatre: Building Community Through Theatre
SMCT is an all-volunteer theatre company in northwest Rhode Island that believes in building inclusive communities through theatre. And we have been doing just that with our quality entertainment since 2002!
We welcome everyone of all ages and abilities to participate in every aspect of theatre production, both onstage and behind the scenes. SMCT members will trod the boards and build them; steal the spotlight and operate the spotlight; direct the play and make the playbill. Everyone’s individual talents contribute toward a shared goal. The end result is a community effort and a one-of-a-kind show!
For 24 years, SMCT has provided theatrical opportunities to those who otherwise may not have access. We strive to showcase local talent and support local artists. You can help us continue to offer self-development, cooperative spirit, creative outlets, and inclusive community-building.
What can your donation do? It will help us purchase performance rights, rent a stage, build sets, costume our performers, and much more. Our long-term goal on the horizon is to build a performance space in our hometown of Foster, RI.
